A client asks you why when they exercise the start to feel faint when they stop, how do you answer this?

Ask the client if they have had any record of diabetes in their family history and that it may be because of their blood sugar levels being off. Very Happy

Ask the client if they have any medical issues, had any operations or injuries recently, or if their parents suffered from any sort of disease. alien cat monkey

When people are involved in high intensity exercise over at least several minutes, they require a LOT of blood flow to the working muscles. So the blood vessels in our muscles, especially the legs, dilate to accommodate all this increased blood. As well as this the brain is lacking oxygen which causes them to feel faint.

You feel dizzy after exercise because; When someone participates in exercise, their heart rate increases ( pumps harder and faster than their resting heart rate) which then increases blood flow around the body, blood is transported to the working muscles which need a higher supply than non-working muscles at the time of exercise. Blood vessels will expand to help to get rid of heat, which allows you to sweat. When exercise ends at a sudden stop the heart rate begins to decrease, meaning the amount of blood pumped is less, but the vessels will remain expanded. As a result of this, your blood pressure can fall and leave you feeling faint, dizzy or with a head rush. You can feel dizzy whilst participating in exercise also, because the blood is sent to the muscles with a higher demand, less blood may be transported to your head/brain.

They could have low blood pressure and should contact there GP if it starts to become a problem

if exercising on an empty stomach or not having enough water it may leave you feeling faint. Dehydration can lead to a drop in blood pressure, which can leave you feeling faint and fatigued. from josh and georgia

You feel dizzy as during exercise your blood is pumped to all the working muscles of the body and the brain then becomes isolated and has less blood flowing to it. Once exercise has stopped blood will rush back to your brain as your body has registered that there is a lack of oxygen, making you light headed and dizzy.
